Home

We are home! I think the one who is most excited about it is Jubee. I think she legitimately hated Maui. Too hot for the chunka.

As our family grows so does our luggage.

We miraculously carried two children, two car seats, three bags and one packed up stroller through the airport.

As soon as we boarded the plane both Juliet and Evangeline decided that it was a good time to take a dump. Ju's ran up her back and Evangeline's stunk up the plane.

I'm continually impressed by our girls and what great travelers they are. I'm sure one of these days we will have "that kid" on the plane but for now we are rejoicing in our victories.

Now if we can only get these girls on our time zone again...

Hotels With Kiddos

One thing no one ever told us when we decided to have kids was how terrible it would be to share a hotel room with them. On mine and Jubee's long stay in Maui we had to get creative. Luckily the room we were in was a suite so once Jubee was asleep I could hang out with my parents in the living room (am I a terrible daughter that I made my parents sleep in the hide-a-bed?)
Sinks for bath time
Closests for bedrooms.

Once Kev and Evangeline arrived things got a little tricker.
(Legit hotel crib, right?)

While Evangeline slept in the living room Kev and I escaped to the only safe place.
The bathroom. I spent a couple nights eating my dinner in there.

Once we knew the kids were fast asleep we would sneak to the balcony.
Nothing like the topical vacations we had kid-less.  Not the same but still some how great!

Super Mom

Tiff just finished a two week-long business trip with an infant that didn't really want to sleep most nights.

On the 5 hour flight home she still managed to juggle everything. As you can see, Juliet was still too happy to sleep. She even wore out Evaneline.

Almost Over

It's been a fun and hard couple weeks. Last night was the company's farewell dinner. It was fun to see the fruits of my labor. While I enjoyed a delicious dinner and show. Kev was up in the room stressing that my delicious dinner and show would wake up the girls.

It was a great ending to the week. One more day of fun and then headed home.

All is Good Again

I can't explain it but when the four of us were all in one room together we all were overflowing with excitement. Even Juju was squealing! We love being together.

Maui- Day 8

We've made it! I'm 90% done with my conference and tomorrow Kev and Evangeline fly out to meet Jubee and I. My heart can hardly handle the excitement. Jubee had a lot of firsts today: first time in the pool,

first time feeling grass

and first time snorkeling.

Not really but she makes those goggles cute.

Big thanks to my parentals for loving on the JuJu these 8 days while I worked. Lucky to have you guys in our lives.

Maui - Day 7

Not many photos to share today as I was in meetings all day and sweet Jubee happily palled around with Mimi and Grandad. She may be in better hands with Mimi and Grandad because when Ju was finally in my care this evening I locked us out of our room.

Waiting for security to let us in our room.

It was 85 degrees and 80% humidity and there is no AC in the halls. Mama had to do what mama had to do to keep baby cool. Not my most shinning moment.

Maui- Day 6

Done with another day. The conference is in full swing.

This is what I looked at and did all day:

And then I would turn and look out the window, sigh, and wish I was out there all day.

And Mimi and Grandad got to look at this all day:

Day 6- two more days until I get to see Kevin and Evangeline. My heart could burst I'm so excited.

Maui- Day 5

Day 5, done.

This is what it looked like:
While I did meeting prep and registration table Jubee had some beach time with Mimi and Grandad.
Toes in the water
It doesn't look like it but she liked the ocean. (My girls and their classic frowny faces)

Even a little Bean FaceTime! Probably the highlight of my day.

Let's get day 6 going.

What's Evangeline Up To?

I'm I miss my little Bean Head like no other. I'm getting lots of picture updates and FaceTime. Though she's too busy playing to give me much attention. Here's what she's been busy doing.
Visiting Dad's office and giving Noni a heart attack.

Going out to dinner and mooching food off Noni (typical).

Being worn out from all the grandparent fun and taking good long naps.
Looking cute, playing music and eating cucumbers.

Playing basketball after church.

Oh my heart. I can't wait to see that little snuggle bug in 4 days!!

Day 4 - Maui

We are here for almost two weeks and I keep telling Juliet she needs to get used to being here because we are here for a while. I think yesterday she finally has accepted it. She seemed to be almost back to her normal smiley self and even is warming up to my parents a bit.

My company observes the Sabatth so no work is supposed to be done on Saturdays. I took advantage of this day to get Juliet rested and keep her in a slow paced mellow environment. She took well to it and seemed to enjoy a quite day.

It was a perfect day for this because it rained and poured most of the day.

So between naps and cloud breaks we would roam the halls and enjoy the balcony.

 Day 4, done.

Day 3- Maui

We made it through day three of Maui. Yes, I'm counting down the days until we are home. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be in Maui, bring my baby to work and have my amazing parents along. But, this trip has been a little difficult for the Jubee and that makes my mama heart hurt (plus I miss Kevo and Bean).

Here's what our days have been looking like. The Juster is preferring to stay with me so my parents are filling in as meeting coordinators. They put in some long hours yesterday helping me get everything ready. Jubee (our supervisor). wasn't too into sleeping so she laid contently on the floor or over my shoulder watching us work.

She has also decided to catch the sunrise each morning, like three hours before it's up.

Today we had a little down time. So between naps we hit the beach and grabbed some grub.

Gosh, as I write this and look at these pictures it doesn't look or sound like it's been "rough". Jubster is still adjusting to the time change and learning that grandparents are way better than parents. She'll get the hang of it. In the meantime we are all still enjoying being in Paradise. Even if Ju's face doesn't look like it.
