Things have gotten easier with age. Tiff is out of town this week which a year ago would have sent me on a plane to the grandparents' house or on Kayak buying tickets to bring the grandparents to me.
Not so anymore. The girls are more rational, I'm more rational, and we all just sort of make do without mom as best we can. The girls even get baths.
