Exciting Happenings

We've had some very exciting thjngs happening in the Erickson household. 

First- we have a belly button!! After almost three weeks this little inny has decided to make its debut. 

Secondly- Evangeline has FINALLY decided to wear the matching sunglasses I bought her. And she's rocking them, I might add! 

Noni and Papa

Thanks goodness for Noni and Papa. We appreciate the extra hands, cooked meals, and snuggles for the girls. 

Evangeline snuggled with papa for 40 minutes after her nap and Juliet snuggles with Noni for hours on end. Kev and I didn't interupt this bonding time.

Noni and Papa are in town meeting Juliet and playing with Evangeline. I have a feeling this is going to be a really fun week. 

One Point for Couv

I think everyone knows I am not the biggest fan of the city of Vancouver. We stopped by the Vancouver library yesterday for something to do and discovered they have an entire play area. And you know what? It rocked!! It was really really cool. And really clean and there was so much to do. Tee pees, play kitchens, star gazing, little people coordination games and even a dance party that was raising the roof. Seriously cool. 

Vancouver, one for you. But just one. 

Cousins

Evangeline LOVES her cousin Christian. They play for hours and the giggles are endless! 

Sleeper

Juliet has no choice but to become an excellent sleeper if she ever wants to sleep. Evangeline loves to smother her sister with kisses and love pats while Juliet sleeps. 

Juggling

Kev has class three nights a week and they fall right during Evangeline's bed time. While I do bedtime routine with Evangeline, Juliet attends class with Kev. She's clearly enthralled. 

She Remembers

Evangeline spent countless hours in the baby swing as an infant and she is enjoying the baby swing once again. 

While it Lasts

Enjoying the long snoozes of this baby while they lasts. So far Juliet is a master sleeper. She only wakes up once at night to eat and then falls right back to sleep. 

Family Outing

We decided to be adventurous yesterday and take the girls on an outing. With the company (and help) of Pippa and Verity, to the river we went. 

It wasn't easy but it was a success!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. Kev and I ventured out as a family of four for the first time to celebrate at a large family dinner. 

We weren't ready to pass Juliet around but Evangeline was happy to do some lap hopping during dinner.

Evangeline kept wanting to be held by whoever was holding Juliet. We thought it was a jealously thing. Boy were we wrong. She wanted to be holding Juliet. 

Headed Home!

We're all healthy and ready to head home but we have to wait for the doctor to do a final sign off. Juliet is patiently waiting. 

Visitors

Juliet was one popular little lady yesterday. She had visits from Pippa and Verity, the Wagner family, Auntie Linds, Aunt Sarah and Christian and the Demidenkos. She's felt very welcomed.

Parenting Two

Kev and I are already experiencing the differences in being parents of two little ones instead of just one. 

While I'm still at the hospital with Juliet, Kev is at home with Evangeline who has come down with a little bug. 

Both of us wanting to be with the other while also wanting to staying where we are. 

Thankful to be doing this parenting gig with Kevo.
