We have dropped off Evangeline at the church nursery the last two months. We have been paged for an early pick up every service but two. Once was because she fell asleep and another was because we dropped her off 45 minutes into the service.
This week we noticed she had a special marking next to her name on her tag. Any guesses what it means?
A few weeks ago we celebrated my Papa Jones' 80th birthday! We all headed out to tickle creek to BBQ. It was easy to see that Evangeline had some Jones blood in her as the only thing she wanted was the famously delicious Jones BBQ chicken.
Thank you, Shauna for this picture!
Everyone needed their Evangeline dose. She gave them all about 2 seconds of her time.

I know it didn't seem like it but she really was happy to see you, Grand Daddy!

It has begun, they broke ground on our house! Kev and I skyped with Robbie and Pippa as we walked the freshly dug up dirt lot. It is happening! I still can't believe we bought a house in Vancouver of all places. But, there will be so much good that will come of these homes!
Lord, these houses are yours! Use them as you please!
Wanna watch the most boring video you have even seen? We took this video thinking we may want it years down the road. We may also think, "why in the world did we take such a boring video?"
Erin and Lincoln made the long trek up to Vancouver for a mid-day play date! Us mommies got plenty of time to chat as our kids have endless fun together.
Kev left Thursday night for Chicago for a UNC MBA Immersion weekend. It has been only Evangeline and I the last few days and nights. I always knew Kev did a lot to help around the house and with Evangeline but after the third night alone I don't know how I would do life without him.
Do we see my morning deterioration as the mornings went on?
Kev, you are my buddy. You make life so much fun. Thanks for being an incredible protector, provider and priest for our family. Come on home. We miss you!
Being home with Evangeline everyday has been such a blessing but can also have its challenges. I mean, what do you do with a 6 month all day? And a 6 month old that sleeps as much as an adult. We are on 24 hour entertainment. Luckily, Evangeline seems to be easily entertained and very helpful with the day to day chores.
Summer has decided to visit a little early this year. We have been telling Evangeline about the sun since November 30th. She finally believes us that the sun exists. We are trying to soak up as much of it as possible over these next few months. This past weekend we introduced Evangeline to a local park. I think Kev and I had more fun than she did, she will learn.
Nothing crazy happens in these videos. Just a little sliding and swinging.
