We made it!

365 days ago Evangeline was born. And somehow Kev and I have figured out how to keep this little perfect gift alive. She made it to one year old! 

She was lucky enough to spend her first birthday in Tahoe with Papa. She had one fun filled day. 

Toys R Us where she picked out a few new toys. Papa also joined in on the spoiling. 

A wild ride with Elmo and friend. (She actually LOVED this coin machine. Totally worth the $.50!)

Lunch at her favorite spot, Jimmy John's, for a pickle. 

After a long 2 hour nap. She woke to balloon city, gifts and new toys!

I couldn't find party hats at the store. So I made her one. 

She clearly loved my handy work. 

"Smash Cake" healthy, of course. Since she has a daddy who won't even give her raisins because they have too much sugar.

Evangeline discovered if she made a certain face it would crack Kev and I up.  We coined it her "crazy face".  Evangeline decided to practice her crazy face in the mirror and discovered it cracker her up too.

New Seat

Well Noni and Mimi we finally did it. Evangeline no longer eats on the counter in her bumbo. She now joins us at the table for meals. 

Ponies, Parties, and Perez

The family was down in San Diego this weekend for the wedding of Josh Perez and Brianne (kev's high school buddies). 

The wedding was at a ranch in the San Pasquel Valley and since we stayed a few nights at the ranch Evangeline became great friends with this pony. 

When we weren't playing with ponies we were partying.

Getting Evangeline used to the big tub. What better way than to have a playmate.

Evangeline has had a low to zero interest in walking. Actually when we would put her on her feet and encourage her to walk as we hold her hands she would just cry and buckle at the knees. In the last few days she seems to have a little more interest in becoming a biped.
